# Capture sequence

> The programmed order of angles, camera triggers and movements a robot performs to photograph an item.

Also known as: sequence, sequence configuration. Category: Software.

A capture sequence is the programmed series of positions, camera triggers and robot movements used to photograph an item, for example 36 frames per rotation in two rows. Running the sequence produces the spin and still images automatically.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

In PhotoRobot Controls, sequences can capture only selected angles, be repeated for individual misfired frames (fast sequence repeat), and run in Normal mode, which stops the turntable for each photo, or in Fast-shot mode with non-stop rotation. A [SmartCode](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/smartcodes) can start a sequence without touching the computer.
