# Fast Spin

> PhotoRobot capture mode that photographs during continuous turntable rotation instead of stopping at each angle.

Also known as: Fast-shot mode, fast shot, non-stop spin, non-stop capture, non-stop rotation. Category: Software.

Fast Spin, also called Fast-shot or non-stop mode, photographs a product while the turntable keeps rotating instead of stopping at each angle. The robot fires the camera just before each target angle and a very short strobe flash freezes the motion.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot reads the turntable position about 1000 times per second and sends the capture signal ahead of each angle to compensate for the camera's shutter lag. PhotoRobot states that a 36-image spin takes about 20 seconds in this mode, roughly up to four times faster than stop-and-shoot capture. It needs a camera with high shooting speed, strobes with fast recycling and, with several cameras, the [SynchroBox](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/synchrobox).
