# Hero image

> The main product photo shown first on a product page or listing.

Also known as: hero shot, main image. Category: Photography techniques.

A hero image is the primary photograph of a product, the one shown first on a product page, in search results or on a marketplace listing. It is usually the most flattering angle, such as a front or three-quarter view, on a clean background.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot sequences capture hero images, marketing angles and the 360 spin of an item in one run, and frames can be labelled, for example "hero shot - front", so the right image is exported to the right channel.
