# Macro PI Action > Runs PhotoRobot Intelligence steps such as Metadata Suggest and Ask PI automatically inside macros. Also known as: Macro PI. Category: Software. Macro PI Action runs PhotoRobot Intelligence capabilities inside repeatable macros instead of manual dialogs. Analysis and metadata entry then happen automatically in the background as soon as capture finishes. ## How PhotoRobot uses it Within a macro, Metadata Suggest assigns and updates item titles, tags and notes from what it sees in the images, and Ask PI answers saved questions, for example the number and type of USB ports on the back of a device, and writes the answer into a metadata field.
