# Marketing angle

> A predefined, commercially attractive view of a product used in listings and campaigns.

Also known as: marketing angles, marketing image. Category: Photography techniques.

A marketing angle is a predefined view of a product chosen for its commercial appeal, such as a three-quarter front view at a slight elevation. A set of marketing angles is defined once in a style guide and used for every product in a range.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

On PhotoRobot systems, marketing angles are captured together with top views and spins, either in the same rotation by the [MultiCam](https://www.photorobot.com/robots/multicam) or as frames copied from the spin into a stills folder by a [macro](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/macro). PhotoRobot's GS1 page lists marketing angles of a closed and an open food package among the standard GS1 views.
