# Photography turntable > A rotating platform that turns a product in front of a fixed camera so it can be photographed from every side. A photography turntable is a rotating platform that turns a product in front of a camera so it can be photographed from evenly spaced angles. Motorised turntables rotate in precise steps or continuously under software control, which makes 360 spins repeatable and lets the camera fire automatically at each angle. Turntables differ mainly in plate size, load capacity, rotation speed and positioning accuracy.
