# PhotoRobot Controls

PhotoRobot Controls, also called the PhotoRobot Controls App or CAPP, is the software suite that runs a PhotoRobot studio. It controls robots, cameras and lights from one interface and covers the rest of the production workflow: item tracking, automatic post-processing, digital asset management and publishing.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot Controls exists in Cloud, Local and Hybrid versions. Desktop installers are available for macOS and Windows, the cloud version runs in a web browser, and workstations with connected peripherals (cameras, lights, scales) need a free driver from the PhotoRobot Account. Work is organised into projects, items and folders, and repeatable settings are stored as [presets](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/preset) and [macros](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/macro).
