# Planogram

> A diagram of how products are placed on retail shelves; planogram images show the product face-on for it.

Also known as: planogram image. Category: E-commerce and workflow.

A planogram is a diagram or model that specifies where each product sits on a retail shelf. Planogram images are straight-on, perspective-free photographs of the product's faces used to build such layouts.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot captures planogram images automatically in the same batch as spin sets, still images and marketing images, for example perpendicular front, side and top views that keep packaging text readable.
