# Post-production

> Everything done to images after capture: editing, background removal, cropping, export.

Also known as: post-processing, image processing. Category: Photography techniques.

Post-production, or post-processing, covers all work on images after capture: colour and exposure correction, background removal, cropping, retouching, compositing and export in the required formats. In automated studios most of it runs according to predefined settings.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

In the PhotoRobot production workflow, post-production is fully automated based on presets, with manual input possible. It includes background removal (Freemask, chroma key, masking), image enhancements, inputs for photogrammetry 3D models and built-in OCR. Original files are backed up automatically.
