# Production line

> Several connected workstations that process products in stages, like an assembly line for images.

Also known as: photography production line. Category: E-commerce and workflow.

A photography production line organises a studio like an assembly line: products move through specialised stations for scanning and measuring, styling, robotised capture, post-processing and publishing, so that each station does one job continuously. The approach suits studios that photograph hundreds or thousands of items per shift.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot's production line has five stages: scan and measure, sort and style, rapid shoot, post-process, and API and publish. PhotoRobot states that each workstation produces roughly one product per minute, nearly 500 items per 8-hour shift, and large halls run tens of workstations in parallel.
