# Production workflow

> The stages a product passes through in a photo studio, from intake to delivery and return.

Also known as: studio workflow. Category: E-commerce and workflow.

A production workflow is the defined sequence of stages a product passes through in a photo studio: intake, preparation, shooting, post-production, quality control, content delivery and return to stock. Defining it lets every product be handled the same way and makes bottlenecks visible.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot describes a seven-stage production workflow: product ingestion, preparation, shooting, post-production, quality control, content delivery and product return. PhotoRobot Controls supports each stage, from shooting-list import and scan-in to feed-based delivery and scan-out.
