# Quality control

> Checking images against requirements before they are published, and sending failures back.

Also known as: QC, quality assurance. Category: E-commerce and workflow.

Quality control (QC) in product photography checks finished images against the brief and style guide, such as framing, colour, background and completeness, before they are approved for publishing. Failed items return for reshoot or re-editing.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

In PhotoRobot's production workflow, quality control includes remote access to the studio, undo and redo on a whole batch, return to reshoot, comments and client review. Item statuses such as Verified and Fix Editing pass results between team members, and [Capture PI Advisor](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/capture-pi-advisor) checks exposure and background at capture.
