# Reconciliation poll

> A scheduled job that compares state with the PhotoRobot API to catch missed webhooks.

Category: E-commerce and workflow.

A reconciliation poll periodically reads the current state from an API and corrects the downstream system. It catches events that a webhook should have delivered but did not.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot Academy recommends it as a safety net even when webhooks are healthy, running every few minutes to nightly. Covered in modules [I02](https://www.photorobot.com/academy/curriculum#i02-webhook-architecture) and [I03](https://www.photorobot.com/academy/curriculum#i03-shooting-list-sku).
