# Robotic Arm

> PhotoRobot motorised camera arm that moves the camera vertically around a product for multi-row and 3D capture.

Also known as: robotic camera arm, robot arm, camera arm. Category: Hardware.

A robotic camera arm moves the camera along a vertical arc around the product while a turntable rotates it, so images can be taken from several elevations. The PhotoRobot Robotic Arm is synchronised with the turntable to capture single or multiple rows of a 360 spin automatically.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot offers the Robotic Arm in versions V3 (manual elevation) and V8 (motor-assisted, software-controlled elevation), with a top-view range of 0° to 90°; the V8 is also available with a long arm. A docking station aligns the arm with compatible turntables such as the [Centerless Table](https://www.photorobot.com/robots/centerless-table), and retractable wheels make it easy to move between workstations. Combined with turntable rotation it also produces the [flying camera effect](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/flying-camera-effect) in product video.
