# Robotic workstation

> One complete automated photography station: robot, cameras, lights and controlling software.

Also known as: robotic photography workstation, robotic cell. Category: Hardware.

A robotic workstation is a complete automated photography station: a positioning robot such as a turntable or camera arm, the cameras and lights, and the software that controls them as one system. Several workstations together form a production line.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot describes large studios running 10, 20 or 60 or more robotic workstations simultaneously, each producing roughly one product per minute. Its control units connect over LAN, which PhotoRobot states scales from a single robot to more than 200 robotic workspaces in one cluster.
