# Suspension mode

> CUBE configuration that hangs a product in the air and rotates it, for items that cannot stand on a plate.

Also known as: object suspension. Category: Hardware.

Suspension mode is a configuration of the PhotoRobot CUBE in which the product hangs from the robot and rotates in the air instead of standing on a turntable. It suits items that should be shown without a visible base.

## How PhotoRobot uses it

In suspension mode the [CUBE](https://www.photorobot.com/robots/cube) holds objects of up to 130 kg, such as handbags, chandeliers, light fittings and bicycles, and its rotation can be synchronised with other robots such as the Robotic Arm. Suspension lines and holders can then be removed in post-production with [chroma key](https://www.photorobot.com/glossary/chroma-key).
