PINK Specialist

PINK is PhotoRobot’s clinical mastectomy-photography turntable. Five units. Selected clinics. Patients on the platform before and after surgery. The Specialist runs the device, holds the patient communication line, keeps the data anonymized at source, runs the rotation safely, and facilitates the remote-physician videocall when the clinic includes one. Operator discipline first; everything else flows from that.

  • For: Clinical operators of PhotoRobot’s PINK device. PINK is the medical turntable installed at selected clinics for pre- and post-operative mastectomy photography. The Specialist owns the device-side of the session: kiosk wizard operation, patient communication, at-source anonymization, patient safety on the turntable, and remote-physician videocall facilitation.
  • Modules: 4
  • Study time: ~4 hours self-paced
  • Pass mark: 75 %
  • Certificate validity: 2 years, renewed by a refresh exam

What you’ll learn

After completing the PINK Specialist package and passing the certification exam, you will be able to:

  • Operate the PINK device end-to-end — power-on, idle-state checks, kiosk wizard from start to session-complete, daily wind-down
  • Run the kiosk wizard’s session flow including pre-checks, capture rotation, optional videocall step, anonymized save, and return-to-idle
  • Communicate with the patient with the discipline mastectomy photography requires — pre-session briefing, dignity-first pacing, reading body language, knowing what to say + what not to say
  • Verify at-source anonymization is working correctly + escalate immediately if it isn’t
  • Bring a patient onto + off the turntable safely including mobility-impaired entry, body-language scanning during rotation, pause / stop / emergency-stop classification
  • Facilitate the remote-physician videocall when included — initiate, hold the operator-vs-clinical lane during the call, step out when privacy is required, end cleanly
  • Close out the session record with operator-scope notes (not medical content), confirm anonymized save, return device to idle
  • Maintain privacy boundaries with clinical staff outside the session — when “how did it go?” is appropriate small talk and when it isn’t

The track teaches device operation + patient handling on the device. It does not teach clinical mastectomy care, infection control beyond the device’s own reset protocol, or the country’s privacy law in detail — those are the clinic’s training to provide.

Who should take it

The PINK Specialist track is for:

  • Operators at clinics receiving a PINK unit — designated session operators who will run the device with patients
  • Backup operators at PINK-equipped clinics — anyone who may cover a session when the primary operator is unavailable
  • PhotoRobot Certified Instructors delivering the PINK track at clinic sites
  • PhotoRobot pre-installation team members preparing units in Klecany and supporting clinic onboarding

It is not for:

  • Clinical staff (surgeons, nurses, oncologists) — they don’t run the device side; their training is the clinic’s responsibility
  • Operators at PhotoRobot studios serving general product photography customers — PINK is single-purpose and not a general product machine
  • IT / network staff at the clinic — PINK’s network presence is minimal and handled through PhotoRobot’s standard installation engagement, not this track

Prerequisites

Required:

  • PhotoRobot Certified Operator (current, not lapsed)
  • Operator Standard B02 — Safety completed (foundation; SPMED03 extends it to patient-on-device safety)

Provided by the clinic, not by Academy:

  • Clinical context training: patient handling + dignity in mastectomy care, infection control beyond the device’s own reset protocol, your country’s medical privacy law, the clinic’s own incident reporting and escalation procedures

PhotoRobot teaches the device. The clinic teaches the clinical context. Both foundations need to be in place before the operator runs sessions with patients.
