00:00 Hello, and Welcome to the PhotoRobot Guide to the Controls Software Pricing and Licenses.

00:06 If you’ve landed on this page, you might be asking yourself which Controls Software plan is the best fit for your business.

00:14 Let’s take a walkthrough together, as we both know that choosing the best plan isn’t only about the price.

00:21 It’s more about the end-value, and, ultimately, how much time and effort you can save overall.

00:27 Follow along as we present the advantages of the local, hybrid, and cloud versions of the Controls software.

00:34 This will include the functionality, features and pricing of the licenses, as well as information on the Backstage User license for additional cost-savings.

00:45 I will also explain image hosting & the PhotoRobot SpinViewer, including important data considerations, and, finally, the PhotoRobot Academy for assistance onboarding new technology.

00:57 First, there is the Local Version of PhotoRobot Controls Software.

01:01 In terms of pricing, this version is approximately one-third of the cost of the Cloud version.

01:07 Although limited in comparison to the Cloud version, the Local Version delivers a lot of advantages straight out of the box.

01:15 It provides full control of robots and lights, with download and post-processing directly to the local computer.

01:22 That includes: automatic background cleanup, color corrections, cropping, and even file renaming according to your own conventions.

01:30 The Local version amounts to a lot of power at a low cost, especially if you are accustomed to working at a single workstation and manually uploading images to your website or system.

01:41 However, keep in mind that distribution and publishing remain your responsibility when using the Local version of Controls software.

01:49 Second, there is the Hybrid Version of Controls Software.

01:53 The Hybrid Version is ideal when connecting multiple workstations.

01:57 It is also approximately two-thirds of the price of the Cloud plan, while offering several advantages in comparison to a Local plan.

02:05 This includes the extremely useful advantage of sharing presets and workflows across the entire organization, even between sites in different countries.

02:14 In this case, there is still local processing of images, but there is also instant transfer to the cloud, with automatic distribution from there.

02:23 There is no need to maintain a server either, as PhotoRobot specialists are on the job.

02:28 The result? Every image follows the exact same procedure, whether it’s producing images by one robot or using fifty.

02:35 Third, there is the Cloud version of the Controls Software, which delivers every studio automation feature PhotoRobot has to offer.

02:44 This one has everything.

02:47 All post-processing runs directly in the cloud over powerful servers, meaning that your local computer no longer has to handle any heavy computing.

02:56 At the same time, you can photograph and process images in parallel simultaneously, with instant backup of every photo, and fully automated distribution via API.

03:06 Your production travels straight from the studio to the customer in an instant, with minimal to zero human input.

03:14 Truly, this is the choice with the greatest return in the long run if you want maximum efficiency, reliability, and the fastest workflows.

03:22 Now, what are the costs of the different user licenses?

03:26 For both the Hybrid and Cloud versions of the software, there is also a cost-effective license called the Backstage User.

03:33 Unlike a standard user license, the Backstage User is not intended for capturing photos, post-processing images, controlling robots, or handling third-party peripherals such as CubiScan.

03:45 Instead, the Backstage User is for support staff who are responsible for essential backstage tasks.

03:51 These include preparing items for photography, checking items in and out of the studio, and returning inventory to customers.

03:59 As these stages of production do not call for software access to image processing or hardware control, the Backstage licenses are significantly more affordable.

04:09 They are also especially valuable in larger studios, where multiple team members fulfill different parts of the workflow.

04:17 With the Backstage license, you can connect your entire team in PhotoRobot Controls Software at a fraction of the cost – boosting efficiency across the entire operation.

04:27 Additionally, another important but often overlooked aspect is image hosting and PhotoRobot’s Spin-Viewer.

04:34 With spin photography, it isn’t as easy as simply dragging and dropping images onto a website.

04:39 It is necessary to have an interactive viewer to ensure smooth on-page product rotation, and to deliver deep zoom into the finest details.

04:47 With PhotoRobot Viewer, hosting spins requires only embedding a short script onto a page to immediately distribute spin photos online.

04:55 To understand the costs, there is also a clear Hosting Price Table on this page, including a slider for quick estimation of monthly costs depending on the number of images.

05:06 What’s more? Hosting up to 10 gigabytes on PhotoRobot Viewer is also completely free-of-charge.

05:12 Of course, there are still similar services from third parties available like those from Sirv.

05:18 Although, if using these, it is at the cost of losing automatic upload and seamless integration with PhotoRobot.

05:24 When using PhotoRobot Viewer, all images flow into the cloud publishing tool automatically – with complete metadata, and zero additional human effort.

05:33 Then, in the end, there are data considerations to keep in mind – in particular, how data is managed within each system.

05:40 For example, in the Hybrid and Cloud versions of the software, there is a central environment storing all data.

05:47 In contrast, the Local version stores all files only on the computer’s file system.

05:52 The downside of this is that switching from one system to another is no longer a matter of pressing a button.

05:59 While moving from the Cloud to Local versions is essentially just downloading, in order to move in the opposite direction, it requires setting up structures and uploading content to the cloud.

06:11 This is why PhotoRobot always recommends careful consideration of your long-term needs right from the very start.

06:18 It is important to identify these to avoid for example the complexity of migration between two very different ecosystems – and to ensure you choose the setup that best supports your growth.

06:30 Finally, what about onboarding the new technology?

06:33 After all, excellence in production requires more than just powerful hardware and software.

06:38 You need skilled people who know how to operate both.

06:41 This is where PhotoRobot Academy offers assistance.

06:45 PhotoRobot Academy provides training courses both on-site in your own studio, or at our headquarters in Prague.

06:51 We teach production line operators how to fully take advantage of the robots; train studio administrators to master workflows; and prepare support staff to efficiently handle backstage tasks.

07:03 The goal is simple. We want to assist your team in unlocking the full potential of PhotoRobot Controls – faster, easier, and with an immediate boost to your productivity.

07:14 And, if you choose the training courses at our site in Prague, you also receive the added bonus of taking in one of Europe’s most beautiful historic cities on your visit.

07:24 Now, here’s the bottom line.

07:27 The Local version provides powerful performance at a low cost.

07:31 The Hybrid Version connects workstations and automates data flow.

07:35 The Cloud version transforms the entire process into a hands-free ride, while Backstage User licenses add cost-effective support for your team.

07:43 All the while, publishing interactive images is effortless with PhotoRobot hosting and SpinViewer, but careful planning is necessary to avoid complex migration procedures in the future.

07:54 And finally, with PhotoRobot Academy, your team can acquire the knowledge and confidence to use the system to its full potential.

08:02 In the end, which plan you choose is your choice to make.

08:05 Although the Cloud plan delivers the greatest overall value, it is crucial to decide around your unique business needs.
