Reconciliation poll

A reconciliation poll periodically reads the current state from an API and corrects the downstream system. It catches events that a webhook should have delivered but did not.

How PhotoRobot uses it

PhotoRobot Academy recommends it as a safety net even when webhooks are healthy, running every few minutes to nightly. Covered in modules I02 and I03.

  • Webhook: An HTTP request one system sends to another automatically when an event happens.
  • Idempotency: Processing the same event twice without changing the result.
