From our committed and extremely talented team of developers at PhotoRobot to our customers:
“Hello all,
I’m excited to share an update on our PhotoRobot Controls portfolio, highlighting both recent achievements and our upcoming plans. Let’s start with where we are presently.
Over the past few months, we have invested significant effort into stabilizing desktop synchronization, improving automated photography processes, and enhancing overall usability and stability. This involved fixing, rewriting, and developing a significant amount of code.
Every decision and code change, we approached extremely carefully with the future in mind, ensuring they not only solve immediate challenges but also lay a strong foundation for growth. Our philosophy has been to build scalable and sustainable solutions that allow us—and our customers—to thrive over the long term.
During this process, we’ve closely collaborated with a number of our key customers to deliver custom features tailored around their needs. However, true to our philosophy, we ensured these features benefit all customers in the PhotoRobot ecosystem. Our mission remains: to deliver solutions that meet everyone’s needs while maintaining the flexibility to support unique requests.
And supporting our customers sometimes takes a fair amount of work. This is especially true when users do not possess the technical abilities to follow troubleshooting instructions. Thus, to further assist our amazing support team, we have introduced an automatic data collection feature. With just one click, users can attach logs, database, and system information directly within the application, streamlining troubleshooting and enabling us to provide faster and more effective support. This improvement ensures that even the most complex incidents can be resolved more effectively and with less friction.
Thanks to all these changes, we have seen a significant decrease in the number of support incidents requiring development intervention. This frees up our team to focus on building even more value for our customers.
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce that the launch of the PhotoRobot Touch mobile application for automated iPhone product photography has been a success! It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how much our customers love it. And the best part? Even more exciting features and scenarios are just around the corner.
On the desktop and cloud side, we have added numerous new features. While many are designed to simplify daily tasks for users, others address critical security and business needs, ensuring no money is lost on either side. For this, we extend a sincere thank you to Martin Valenta for the exceptional work on the account interface, billing, subscription handling, and PWS/Batches functionality.
Lastly, I would like to spotlight our ongoing commitment to support of new Canon models. We promised—and we delivered! We’re currently beta testing the latest version with selected customers to ensure a smooth transition before the public release. This is because Nikon support is reaching its end of life (EOL) and will no longer be available. This decision allows us to focus on delivering the best possible experience for Canon users. We will share more details on this in the near future!”
