PhotoRobot Safety Information & Instructions

The following documentation provides safety information and safety instructions for the installation, operation, storage, and service of PhotoRobot devices. This information should always be the first stage preceding any PhotoRobot installation. It aims to educate new customers on general safety requirements, the risks posed by PhotoRobot devices, electrical connections, safe use, and service.

Note: For additional instructions regarding your specific PhotoRobot device, refer to the instructions provided with your device, and to available installation manuals.

Important: The first installation of a PhotoRobot device must always be through a PhotoRobot authorized authority. Authorized authorities include an approved distributor, or a representative of the manufacturer itself.

Safety Information & Instructions for PhotoRobot

We thank you for your PhotoRobot purchase! The following presents the safety information for using your PhotoRobot devices. It includes general safety information as well as safety instructions for installation, electrical connection, use, and device service. Failure to comply with safety requirements can result in personal injury or harm, and / or damage to the machines.

1. Safety Information

Before installation and use of the device, carefully read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for any harm, injuries, or damage due to incorrect installation or use of the device. Always keep the instructions with the device for future reference.

1.1. Child and Vulnerable Adult Safety

This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and adults with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities; or lacking operational knowledge if they are under supervision, or have received instructions on operating the device in a safe way, and the operator understands the hazards involved.

Do not allow children to play with the device. Children less than 3 years of age should be kept away from the device unless under constant supervision.

Cleaning and user maintenance must not be done by children without supervision.

1.2. General Safety

  • Do not change the specification of this device.
  • All ventilation openings must not be obstructed.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Before maintenance, deactivate the device and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
  • Do not use water spray and steam to clean the device.
  • Clean the device with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, solvents or metal objects.

2. Safety Instructions

Always follow the safety instructions for installation, electrical connection, use, and service. Failure to follow the instructions can result in personal injury and / or harm to the equipment.

2.1. Installation

The first installation after delivery from the manufacturer should be carried out only by our authorized authority (an approved distributor, or the manufacturer itself).

  • Remove all the packaging and the transit bolts.
  • Always be careful when you move the device because it is heavy in weight. Always wear safety gloves.
  • Do not install or use a damaged device.
  • Obey the installation instruction manual supplied with the device.
  • Do not install or use the device anywhere it is exposed to the weather.
  • Make sure that the floor where you install the device is flat, stable, and clean.
  • Ensure that there is air circulation possible around the device.
  • Adjust the feet to have the device in a flat position.
  • Do not install the device where there is not enough space to walk around it.

2.2. Electrical Connection

  • The device must be grounded.
  • Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket.
  • Ensure that the electrical information on the rating plate complies with the power supply. If it does not, contact an electrician.
  • Be sure not to cause damage to the mains plug or to the mains cable.
  • Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only at the end of the installation. Ensure that there is access to the mains plug after the installation.
  • Do not touch the mains cable or the mains plug with wet hands.
  • Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the device. Always push the mains switch at the Control Unit first.
  • Do not approach the devicewhen moving or when it is powered up.
  • Always mind the working area of this device. For example, with the Robotic Arm V8:
    • The elevator range is 32 cm.
    • The swing arm range is from 0 to 90 degrees.

Note: Always refer to the instructions provided with your specific device for its safe working area, and additional safety information.

2.3. Use

  • There is risk of injury, electrical shock, fire, burns, or damage to the device when in use.
  • Use this device inside of buildings only.
    Do not put flammable products or items that are doused with flammable products near or on the device.
  • Do not touch any part of the device when in moving operation.
  • The device is designed for operation only in an industrial environment.

2.4. Service

  • To repair the device, contact an authorized authority.
  • Use original spare parts only.
